CCE solar
storage systems collect solar heat in the daytime, for injection into the home (or business) radiant heating system at night, minimizing the need to run the boiler and use fuel.
Our systems have the following features:
Custom designed to match the radiant heating load needs of the building with properly sized circulators and flow meters. These systems can be integrated into existing radiant heating systems to act as the "primary boiler". The boiler remains in the system to take up the slack once the usable heat in the storage tank has been depleted. These storage systems take up an approximate footprint of 4 x 5, and need a large door to place indoors! Must find a place to put the tank (usually in a garage). These systems can be placed in an outdoor "shed", but check with CCE for advice on placement options. Only recommended for use on RADIANT heating systems, as baseboard and radiator systems are designed to operate at the higher temperatures available from high temperature boilers (see elsewhere on this webpage for more explanation of why). Relatively lightweight;
easily moved around site. One person can move/install the tank. Must have large enough doorway to fit through! Can be placed in garage.
When specified for new construction, request wide doorway into mechanical room.
